Umingle is built to be anonymous. There are no accounts, no profiles, and no chat history stored on our servers.

What we process

Chat relay: text messages and WebRTC signaling pass through our servers in real time to connect you with a stranger. They are not saved after delivery.
Video/audio: video chats use peer-to-peer WebRTC when possible, so media streams go directly between users, not through our servers.
IP address & country: your approximate country may be derived from your IP to show a country flag and to prevent abuse. IPs are not published or sold.
Reports: if you report a user, the report and recent chat context may be reviewed for moderation.

Dark-mode preference and your interests list are stored in your browser's localStorage only.
Face-detection runs entirely in your browser (on-device ML) to check your camera shows you; no video leaves your device for this check.

We do not use tracking cookies. Only functional browser storage described above is used.

Umingle is for users 18 and older and is not directed at children.
